Hole 4 | "Woe-Be-Tide"
Par 3 | 168 Yards Perfect Play
![]() The first par 3 on The Ailsa is a tricky hole that is normally played with a helping south westerly wind. This is a green that must be found from the tee as the deep bunker short right and the steep slope of rough to the left of the green make this a difficult par 3. A tee shot landing on the right side of this elevated green will gather towards the centre as will a tee shot landing on the left. The green is bowl shaped and all putts will break towards the sea but care must be taken from putts above the hole.
